Embroidery!

I recently decided (five days ago) that I should get into embroidery. I did it once, as a kid, in Girl Scouts. I was given an image of a baby duck to embroider, and I didn't finish it. Hopefully it's in storage in my dad's attic; I'd love to find it sometime and finish it. For my first my project I've decided to make a pillow for my 1-year-old nephew. After that I'll make a pillow for my niece, who's 6. Hopefully I'll have them both done by Christmas. And hopefully the repetition and monotony will help calm my brain.

I don't have one picked out for Emily yet. But, I've found an image I want to embroider for myself:



I don't know what I'm going to embroider these two adorable creatures on, but I'll think of something. They're owls, after all, and I can't have enough owls in my life.
